Council Meeting
Twice a year, spring and autumn, the representatives from all local groups troughout Europe meet to coordinate the projects within ESTIEM, to set up guidelines for the future and elect the board and project leaders once a year.
The Council Meetings (CM) are arranged by local groups and nowadays the most recent ones have had about 170 participants. A CM is an excellent chance to get in touch with other IEM students and to contribute to the ESTIEM projects.
At the CM different working groups led by experienced ESTIEMers develop concepts and strategies, work on guidelines, do practical work in general just to help ESTIEM becoming even better. In these working groups you can experience the spirit of ESTIEM and learn how interesting it is to work in small international teams.
Besides this working part, a council meeting is a great deal of fun! You'll get in touch with the (night)life of a European city, learn about the local culture and have the opportunity to make friends from all over Europe.
Regional Coordination Meetings (ReCoM)
The objective of ReCoMs is to discuss ESTIEM issues on the regional level, increase cooperation among nearby local groups and create ideas for the future development of ESTIEM.
The meeting is led by ESTIEMers and also acts as a platform to promote central ESTIEM ideas to the Local groups. PR and Company Relations questions are answered and help on these topics is provided; Discussions from committees and projects are brought to a bigger audience to gain new points of views on the issue. By this the ReCoMs strongly strengthen the network.

Don't miss these unique opportunities to learn about different countries, their histories, traditions and lifestyles, while having fun with your friends from all over Europe. The best way to jump straight into a new culture!
Local Responsible Forum
The Local Responsible Forum (LR Forum) is an annually event which brings together the core of ESTIEM, the people who are or intend to be in charge of their Local Group, the Local Responsibles. Its aim is divided in two pillars.
The first one is to develop the skills of the participants in order to improve the quality and the professionalism of the ESTIEM network. The participants are trained by professional trainers, external students as well as students who already have a load of experiences within ESTIEM. The second pillar is that the leaders of the Local Groups get to know each other to enlarge their understanding of different cultures in order to work together efficiently and without any cultural difficulties.
